In the early 1950's we came to visit the Peter's icecream factory. At the time I didn't know it was in West End but I did know that it had a huge icecream cone on the lawn out the front! Yum!
After you went for a slightly boring walk through the factory if you were young and handsome (like Malcolm!) you were given a free icecream. And then there was the Tristram's soft drink factory - just down the road. But that's another story!
